Paintings

When painting, I work mostly in two ways. For narratives (Tarot Major Arcana) or souvenirs that depict places in my heart, I brush on opaque acrylics.  Abstract pieces (sun, moon) are layered with transparent acrylics.  Texture is added (yarn, mica, handmade papers).  Splashes of solid paint, salt and sprays of alcohol create special effects, depth, mystery.

Assemblages and Paintings reveal symbolism based on my deep interest in works of C. G. Jung, Alan Watts, Joseph Campbell, Clarissa Estes and other Thinkers.
